OSU-Okmulgee Summer Academies

[Chad Spurlock]

I'd like to invite you to attend one of our two summer science academies held on the OSU-Okmulgee campus this June. These will be fascinating, hands-on learning experiences with field trips and challenging activities.

You can choose from the "Summer Academy for Advanced Technologies: Precision Agriculture" from June 8 - 13 for Oklahoma students in eighth, ninth and tenth grades; or the "Summer Academy for Advanced Technologies: Emerging and Converging Technologies" from June 15 - 20 for Oklahoma students in eighth, ninth and tenth grades.

Attending one of these academies will have a lasting impact on your life. Did you know?

  • 73 percent of Summer Academy students go to college immediately after high school, compared to 56 percent of average students.
  • While in college, Summer Academy students are more academically prepared than their peers, requiring one-third fewer remedial courses than average students.
  • More than 80 percent of Summer Academy students earn at least a bachelor's degree, compared with 22 percent of average Oklahomans.

And remember, all Summer Academies are FREE. I hope to see you there!
